As an individual and family counsellor/therapist, I am passionate about supporting adults and their families as they navigate neurodivergence, life transitions, immigration experiences, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship conflicts.
Together, we will find ways to learn and understand your needs, values, and goals; explore what works and what does not work; rediscover your innate gifts; and go at your own pace while allowing opportunities to foster insights and growth.
Our sessions may also involve exploring the ‘isms’ of life (ableism, colonialism, capitalism, and individualism), which may help bring deeper insights into how you navigate and view the world and find new ways to co-exist with things that once felt overwhelming.
Many of the clients who work with with me are confirmed or self-identified Autistic and/or ADHD, first- and second-generation immigrants, adult children of immigrants, and visible minorities. I also work with couples where one or more partners is neurodivergent.
I have a particular interest in supporting folks who seek to gain a deeper understanding of their bicultural/biracial and neurodivergent identities. I am keen on supporting folks to rediscover their true selves while finding ways to strengthen the roles they play in their families (or chosen families) and communities.
I am a first-generation immigrant settler, and my lived experience navigating bicultural/immigrant expectations and identities have led me to do this work. I am passionate about lessening the barriers that many Filipinx-Canadians and Asian immigrants face when accessing mental health supports by providing a space free of judgment and acknowledging the fears, apprehensions, and unwritten rules that many of us have deeply internalized.
My method is integrative and incorporates elements of structural family therapy, dignity therapy, intersectionality, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and solution-focused therapy; specifically tailored to meet every clients’ values, needs, and strengths. I also provide sessions in Tagalog and offer support with service navigation and completion of forms.
I have a Master of Social Work from University of British Columbia Okanagan, and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of British Columbia.

As an individual and relationship counsellor/therapist, I work alongside youth and adult clients to explore mental health challenges, life transitions, neurodivergence, couple and family relationships, and alleviating the impact of oppressive social structures on mental wellbeing.
In sessions with me, we will get curious about your values, beliefs and unique human experience. I will support you in identifying your strengths, fostering self-acceptance and self-compassion as you navigate life’s transitions and challenges. Together, we will explore the underlying emotions and/or unmet needs that impact your wellbeing, and collaborate to challenge the beliefs and behaviours that may no longer be conducive to your growth. We will collaboratively identify more helpful strategies that meet your needs and honour your present self.
Many of the clients who work with me are racialized adults, formally diagnosed or self-identified neurodivergent women; and family members, caregivers, and/or loved ones of neurodivergent individuals.
I have a particular interest in supporting folks who are seeking a deeper understanding of the impact of their environment and their intersecting identities and experiences on their wellbeing and sense of self. I am passionate about supporting clients to challenge individualistic understandings of healing that may be contributing to their isolation, and explore ways to build and access safe community spaces that nurture their healing and wellbeing
I also enjoy working with and supporting organizations to create spaces of collective healing and community building.

As a therapist primarily specialized in working with individuals, I work collaboratively with adults of all ages and genders to explore and support their neurodivergence, well-being, and self-esteem. I have a deep passion for supporting neurodivergent people living with and experiencing any of the following challenges: anxiety, depression, stressful life transitions, relationship and communication challenges, loneliness and social isolation, complex trauma, as well as challenges with shame, self-criticism, feelings of burnout, insomnia, addictions of various kinds, and existential concerns.
Many of the clients who work with me are confirmed or self-identified Autistic, ADHD, and/or Gifted. I also support many clients going through difficult life challenges and stressors, including neurodivergent individuals looking to understand how their experiences growing up and their relationships have shaped who they are today, and neurodivergent people who struggle with relationships for various reasons, and who value connection and want to enhance connection with others.
With a therapeutic approach rooted in kindness and curiosity, we will gain deeper insight into your experiences, considering the role of your core values, pivotal life moments, and current life and cultural context. A key aspect of our work will be cultivating self-compassion as we discover ways to strengthen your well-being, agency, and personal identity on your path towards a meaningful life. My foundational intention is to support you in learning from and appreciating the multi-faceted elements of your own internal world and support you in cultivating a stronger internal connection to your authentic, true, wise, caring, curious, and courageous Self.
I am passionate about applying compassionate, culturally safe, inclusive care, and draw upon an integrative, strengths-based, person-centered counselling framework. I primarily integrate counselling modalities from Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS – Level 1 Trained), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and am also deeply informed by Polyvagal Theory, Trauma-Informed principles, and Non-Violent Communication principles.
My heritage as a second-generation immigrant and white settler shapes my awareness of the diverse systemic impacts of colonization, migration, and other social factors on well-being. I strive to provide a safe and inclusive therapeutic space that acknowledges the impacts of systemic inequalities for all cultural backgrounds.
I have both a Bachelor and Master of Social Work degree from the University of British Columbia, along with a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Philosophy from the University of British Columbia.

As an individual therapist, I work collaboratively with youth and adults to heal trauma, support and explore neurodivergence, mental health, identity, relationships and confidence.
In sessions with me, I will be open and curious with you in exploring the different parts of your internal world, and in growing understanding and appreciation for them and how they developed to protect you. I believe that all people have parts and a Self that when accessed, offers internal wisdom, guidance, and resources. Rather than helping you build strategies and skills, I will help you access what you already have, guided by the belief that people already have internal resources for healing.
Many of the clients I work with are formally diagnosed or self-identified Autistic and/or ADHD, and many are members of 2SLGBTQIA communities. I have a particular interest in the intersection of neurodivergence and trauma. I also enjoy working with youth to support and navigate big emotions, communication, boundary setting and self-advocacy, neurodivergence (Autism, ADHD, giftedness, learning disabilities), sexual and gender identity (including asexual and aromantic identities), coping with big life transitions, and navigating relationships.
I am a queer, cisgender, neurodivergent white settler woman. For the past ten years I have worked and volunteered in feminist and 2SLBTQIA+ communities and organizations. My method is integrative and trauma-focused, primarily using Internal Family Systems Therapy with elements of sensorimotor psychotherapy; specifically tailored to meet each individual client’s values, needs, and strengths.
I have a Master of Social Work from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria.

As an individual counsellor/therapist, I work alongside youth and young adults in navigating anxiety and depression, body image, and neurodivergent identities. I’m also eager to support you through life transitions, relationships, exploring your identity, and inner healing.
In our sessions, we can curiously explore the past experiences that have shaped your beliefs about who you are and how you view the world around you today. Therapy with me will be an environment of non-judgement and encouragement for fostering meaningful conversations to help you unearth underlying thoughts and emotions that impact your well-being. Through guided self-exploration, we will build confidence and self-compassion to honour your present self while developing strategies to navigate upcoming challenges.
Many clients who work with me are youth or young adults who are self- or formally-diagnosed ADHD and/or autistic. I have a particular passion for supporting folks navigating the intersection of neurodivergence and anxiety, interpersonal relationships, school or early career, and/or relationships with food, body, and self-image. Therapy with me can be a safe space to be curious, strengthen self-insight, identify your existing strengths, and collaboratively develop strategies to support thriving.
As a first-generation immigrant settler, I hold a deep commitment to offering a compassionate space for clients to gently challenge stigma and re-learn assumptions around neurodiversity and mental health, especially within Asian communities. I have been practicing as a mental health social worker for the past six years, supporting a variety of populations ranging from children to seniors, with a vested interest in working with teens and young adults. I have practiced counselling/therapy for the past three years and have completed training in therapeutic treatment of anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and psychosis.
My practice reflects the belief that everyone comes with their own intersecting identities, unique story, and personal needs that may be best supported through a personalized and integrative therapy style, tailored to meet your desired therapy outcomes. I primarily engage in techniques informed by cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), with incorporation of dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), acceptance-commitment therapy (ACT), and exposure and response prevention (ERP) for anxiety; alongside trauma informed and anti-oppressive practice approaches.
I have a Master of Social Work from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Social Work from Grant MacEwan University.

QUICK FACTS ABOUT REGISTERED SOCIAL WORKERS
(from http://www.bcasw.org/utility/registered-social-workers-in-private-practice/)
Registered Social Workers (RSWs) are one of the largest providers of mental health services in North America. With university degrees primarily at the Masters or Doctorate level, they are skilled clinicians who provide counselling and therapy for a wide range of personal, family and work-related problems.
Many RSWs have undertaken additional credentialing, meeting prerequisites and passing rigorous examinations to become a Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW). A Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW) is qualified to utilize the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental, emotional, behaviour disorders and conditions, for the purpose of providing psychosocial intervention to enhance personal, interpersonal and social functioning.
Because Canada Revenue Agency recognizes Social Work as a health profession, the clinical counselling services of Registered Social Workers are HST EXEMPT. In addition to RSWs, only Psychiatrists and Registered Psychologists qualify for this exemption.
Social Work is a is legislated profession governed by a regulatory body, the BC College of Social Workers, and all RSWs must adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
