As an individual and family counsellor/therapist, I am passionate about supporting adults and their families as they navigate neurodivergence, life transitions, immigration experiences, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship conflicts.
Together, we will find ways to learn and understand your needs, values, and goals; explore what works and what does not work; rediscover your innate gifts; and go at your own pace while allowing opportunities to foster insights and growth.
Our sessions may also involve exploring the ‘isms’ of life (ableism, colonialism, capitalism, and individualism), which may help bring deeper insights into how you navigate and view the world and find new ways to co-exist with things that once felt overwhelming.
Many of the clients who work with with me are confirmed or self-identified Autistic and/or ADHD, first- and second-generation immigrants, adult children of immigrants, and visible minorities. I also work with couples where one or more partners is neurodivergent.
I have a particular interest in supporting folks who seek to gain a deeper understanding of their bicultural/biracial and neurodivergent identities. I am keen on supporting folks to rediscover their true selves while finding ways to strengthen the roles they play in their families (or chosen families) and communities.
I am a first-generation immigrant settler, and my lived experience navigating bicultural/immigrant expectations and identities have led me to do this work. I am passionate about lessening the barriers that many Filipinx-Canadians and Asian immigrants face when accessing mental health supports by providing a space free of judgment and acknowledging the fears, apprehensions, and unwritten rules that many of us have deeply internalized.
My method is integrative and incorporates elements of structural family therapy, dignity therapy, intersectionality, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and solution-focused therapy; specifically tailored to meet every clients’ values, needs, and strengths. I also provide sessions in Tagalog and offer support with service navigation and completion of forms.
I have a Master of Social Work from University of British Columbia Okanagan, and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of British Columbia.
SEPTEMBER 2025 UPDATE: I am currently not accepting any new clients. If you have any questions please feel welcome to email me directly at celeste@raemorriscounselling.com.

About My Practice As an individual and relationship therapist, I work alongside youth and adults to explore mental health challenges, life transitions, neurodiversity, and couple and family relationships. I also support clients in understanding and alleviating the impacts of oppressive social structures on mental well-being.
My approach is collaborative, relational, and grounded in creating a space where you feel safe and supported to explore personal and systemic influences on your well-being and relationships.
Areas of Focus I work with a diverse range of clients, including racialized adults, neurodivergent women (formally or self-identified), and couples/partners. I also support parents, caregivers, and loved ones of neurodivergent individuals, including those caring for high-needs children and youth presenting with complex and/or demand avoidance behaviours.
Together, we may explore: - Neurodivergence and identity - Experiences of attachment and emotional connections - Couple and family relational dynamics and patterns - Parenting and caregiving for neurodivergent children and youth - The impact of systemic and socio-political contexts on individual and relational well-being
I will support you in building self-insight, strengthening communication and relationships, and developing meaningful and sustainable ways of caring for yourself and others.
My Approach In our sessions, we will explore your emotional needs, values, beliefs, relationships, and experiences with curiosity and hope. I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can explore both the challenges you are facing and emphasize your internal strengths. I am naturally curious and engaged, and I value getting to know you as a whole person, including the contexts and experiences that shape your life.
My style is relational, thoughtful, curious, and grounded, allowing space for moments of connection and ease to be yourself and share your thoughts as they are. I strive to create a space that supports deep reflection and collaborative identification of strategies that align with your values and help you to feel more grounded and connected to yourself and others.
My method is integrative, drawing primarily from Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Neurodivergent Attachment Theory, and Socioculturally Attuned Family Therapy. My practice is also deeply grounded in social justice and culturally affirming care, challenging individualistic models of healing and exploring ways to access community, connection, and collective care.

I have contributed as a researcher and educator examining cross-cultural practices with youth and families.

About My Practice As an individual therapist, I work collaboratively with adults of all ages and genders to explore and support neurodivergence, well-being, and self-esteem. My work is grounded in a deep respect for each person’s unique experience and a passion for supporting meaningful change through understanding, self-compassion, and connection.
Areas of Focus I have a strong interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals navigating a wide range of experiences, including:
Anxiety and depression
Stressful life transitions
Loneliness and social isolation
Shame, self-criticism, and burnout
Insomnia and sleep difficulties
Addictive patterns and behaviours
Existential concerns and questions of meaning
Many of the clients I work with are Autistic, ADHD, and/or gifted (formally or self-identified). Together, we will work toward deepening self-compassion, strengthening emotional awareness, resilience, and a sense of grounded identity, including reconnecting with qualities like clarity, steadiness, curiosity, and care for yourself and others.
My Approach In our work together, I bring a warm, curious and grounded approach. I aim to create a space where you can slow things down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and talk openly without pressure to perform or have things figured out.
We will explore your lived experiences in the context of your values, life history, and current stressors. This often includes making sense of patterns around pressure, responsibility, self-criticism, disconnection, or difficulty accessing rest and ease. I support you in building a clearer understanding of your internal world so you can respond to life with more intention, steadiness, and self-trust.
My work is integrative, strengths-based, and person-centered, with a strong foundation in compassion and cultural safety. I draw from several therapeutic modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am also informed by Polyvagal Theory and trauma-Informed principles of care. These approaches allow me to tailor therapy to your unique needs while supporting nervous system awareness, emotional regulation, and self-understanding.
Identity & Values As a second-generation immigrant and white settler, I hold awareness of the ways systemic forces such as colonization, migration, and inequality shape mental health and lived experience. I strive to provide a therapeutic space that is inclusive, culturally responsive, and attentive to these broader contexts.
Outside of my role in this practice, I have several years of experience offering supportive and therapeutic counselling for youth and adults clients in primary care and community settings.
